Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Names, dates of birth, and other terms entered into a search tool are sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Starke County Warrant Records does not keep or log those query terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond and manage the correspondence. We do not disclose that message beyond our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers may receive standard technical information when a visitor loads a page, including:
- The device's assigned IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent
- The referring website, when available
- The date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. We and analytics services may use them to measure aggregate traffic, identify popular pages, and understand where visits end. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although parts of the website may then work in a different way.
What We Do With This Data
Information described in this policy may be used for these operational purposes:
- Operating, maintaining, and improving website performance
- Routing a submitted search to the appropriate partner
- Measuring which material visitors use
- Diagnosing security or technical faults
- Delivering advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
Starke County Warrant Records does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of warrants or personal warrant records. It provides general directions to Starke Circuit Court, the Starke County Clerk, Knox City Court, and the Starke County Sheriff's Office records service. Indiana MyCase can display information within a public case, but it is not a statewide warrant search. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes that may appear on the website. Data submitted through one of those tools is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and disclosure practices. We do not control those terms. Review the provider's policy before entering personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Starke County offices, Indiana courts, the sheriff, legal resources, or third-party search services. Once you follow an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies rather than this one. Read its terms before sharing personal information.
Advertising providers may also use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select interest-based advertisements. That processing occurs on the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that process a query you submit
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place or measure advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information in our control. No internet-connected service can guarantee perfect security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor submitted such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Your Data Rights
Your location and applicable law may provide rights over personal data. Indiana's Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3, governs access to records held by public agencies, including lawful exemptions, but it does not turn this private website into a government records custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of personal information
- Opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as practices, services, or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes available here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
